We were driving
well, I was driving
And we were having a talk
a good talk like we did
Back before the time
that I said I wouldn't
mention again.
Mention again.
The highway was a lock;
the car a leaky tugboat
And we its' stalwart crew
well, you would be the crew
learning to go home again.
Home again.
When we get this tugboat home
we together will scrape
Determined barnacles off the skin
and repair that rusted hull.
We will christen this vessel again.
Again.
